This card makes me happy. It is so versatile. You can make it for a masculine birthday, a sympathy card or a just because card.
I used the Fully Flowering and Saying Something Ephemera packs found on page 19 of the Annual Catalog. I added an embossed layer of the same color as the card base – Smoky Slate with Painted Texture embossing folder (on the Last Chance list now) – to give the card some depth.
This card follows the sample templates found on page 22 of the Annual Catalog. I think it’s more of #17 but it could be #3 (I numbered the templates starting with the top left corner to make it easier for me!).
By adding a few strips of Designer Series Paper, you can change the look completely. I used Country Lace on this one, but I’ll show another card in a few days with the same template and different paper and it changes the look completely.
One of the fun things about the black & white ephemera is that you can color it to whatever color you want with blending brushes or sponge daubers, or just leave it in black & white. I love that flexibility.
I hope you get some ephemera packages and start playing. Use the samples and the templates in the catalogs to help get your creative mojo flowing!
