Happy Birthday Ephemera Card

I had fun playing with the ephemera packages found on page 19 of the Annual Catalog. I think they have been overlooked because it’s not something most card makers are familiar with. This card uses the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack and the Saying Something Ephemera Pack. I used an embossing folder and the Spotlight on Nature dies to give it some character. Everything I used is listed below.

Another cool item in the Annual Catalog is found on page 22 – a Little Inspiration! Stampin’ Up! has provided us with templates for card making. This card follows the template #4 (I numbered them starting with the top row on the left to make it easier for me). The templates give you some ideas on how to design your card.

Another cool thing given to us is the samples using the ephemera packages. You can find the samples on page 18, pages 20 & 21, and some on page 25. Sometimes you just need a little nudge to get your creative juices flowing!

We made this card at the December monthly card class and I gave the attendees a half a package of the Fully Flowering & the Saying Something ephemera packages plus a Standard Stamp Case to hold everything in. Once you start to pull the punched items out, it can be a bit messy to keep everything together. The stamp cases are found on page 95 of the Annual Catalog and they are $9 for 4 cases, plus they are reusable when you finish up the pack of ephemera. You can also slip a piece of cardstock in the plastic sleeve to make it easy to identify what’s inside!
