Simple Stamping for beginners

Simple Stamping

Hi.  I hope you are safe and sound and isolating from others.  I know this is a scary time for all of us but we need to step back and figure out how to stay sane.  I find creating cards is the best way for me to lose track of time.  And I know, many people will say “I’m not creative” or “I couldn’t possibly do that.”  But you can.  Really.  Just like anything else, you need the right tools.  And Stampin’ Up! has those tools and ideas too.  You can order online, it is delivered to your house and you don’t have to change out of your daytime PJs.  Yes, I know you have daytime and nighttime PJs.  I will say that is one of the good things about this self imposed isolation…..

If you are a experienced stamper, I hope you will direct your friends and family who may not be stampers to the video above.  You know how relaxing stamping can be so share the love with others.

From a homeschooling aspect, card creating can teach you many things!  Like math, for instance.  You have to figure out the card size and if you get creative and add layers, you have to figure out those sizes too.  Maybe have them research the cost of stamps and multiply that amount by how many cards you are sending.  And open up that word processing software and have your kids type letters to go in the cards so they learn typing (or keyboarding as I guess it’s called now).  If you’re kids are little, let them write their names inside cards you make.  You can put them in the mail box and never change out of your daytime PJs.  (See a theme here?)

And, consider Paper Pumpkin.  It is a monthly subscription that is delivered to your door with everything you need to create (except adhesive but good old white glue works….).  I just opened up the March box and it has sayings that will be perfect in the upcoming weeks – “Wishing You Brighter Days Ahead” and “No Matter the Weather, We’re in This Together.”  I’ll be putting those cards together soon and mailing them out to my friends so they know I’m thinking of them.  Here’s the link for subscribing to Paper Pumpkin…

And as always, if you have any questions or comments, please let me know.  If you want any techniques shown on an upcoming video, let me know that too!  The courts are closed so I have some time on my hands!  Please stay safe.  Happy stamping.
