I love how this card turned out. It helps that these are “my colors.” But it was so easy – the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series paper did all the work for me.
The card base is Pool Party and the solid strip under the DSP is Lost Lagoon. I got those colors from the list on the back of the DSP package. The stamp set, Mixed Florals, is a new Online Exclusive just released. It comes with a die set that has beautiful die cuts – I can’t wait to use those too!
I used Memento black ink to stamp the flowers. The line image of this stamp lets the gorgeous colors of the DSP shine through. When I was trying to figure out what color I wanted for the label, I turned to the Stampin’ Up! Color Wheel. I love that it makes it so easy to come up with colors from another color family that will work. Here, Fresh Freesia picks up on the pinks in the DSP. You could use a darker color if you didn’t want a pink label.
The new mini catalog just got released, new Online Exclusives just got released, new scrapbooking products just got released and Sale-a-Bration is going on now! In addition to Sale-a-Bration, Stampin’ Up! is also offering an amazing join special. It’s a very busy time at Stampin’ Up!
